Bestvital® organic colostrum is obtained from the first and second milking after the birth of the calf – and of course only the surplus is used, which the new-born itself no longer needs.
The raw colostrum is frozen immediately after milking, collected and then carefully examined in our laboratory. After the meticulous incoming inspection, the first milk is freed from fats and proteins that are difficult to digest, such as casein. As an organic product, Bestvital® colostrum is also guaranteed to be free of hormone and antibiotic residues.
Our cold filtration process is another component of gentle processing, which sterilises the first milk but does not damage any of the heat-sensitive components. This approach guarantees optimal bioavailability of all relevant vital substances.
The liquid colostrum variant is filled directly into bottles which are then vacuum-sealed. Due to the sterile filling, no preservatives are required. Our fine crystalline powder is further obtained by careful freeze-drying, thus ensuring a long shelf life.
In general, you should always pay attention to high quality when it comes to food and care products – after all, it’s about your own body and your personal well-being. This quality standard also applies in particular to the natural substance colostrum, which ideally offers you a wide variety of high-quality nutrients with maximum bioavailability. You should not make any compromises here.
By purchasing Bestvital® BIO colostrum, you also ensure that the products are 100% free from hormone or antibiotic residues. This is because we do not use any additives and guarantee that the products originate from German and Austrian farms with controlled organic animal husbandry.
The lipids in colostrum ensure good dissolution and distribution, bind various ingredients, and provide some protection for immune factors.
But on the other hand, they are often difficult for the human body to digest and easily become rancid. This further limits the shelf life of colostrum.
That’s why Bestvital® colostrum products are not completely fat-reduced and thus represent a good compromise.
Many people prefer colostrum in as natural a form as possible and subsequently opt for the liquid version. Our Bestvital® organic liquid colostrum comes exclusively from controlled organic animal husbandry in Germany and Austria and contains no preservatives.
For this reason, the bottle should be refrigerated after opening and consumed within 14 days. Bestvital® organic liquid colostrum is sterile-processed in an extremely gentle cold filtration process. It is almost the original product and only processed minimally.
Our Bestvital® organic colostrum capsules also come from controlled organic animal husbandry in Germany and Austria. Of course, they are also processed using the gentlest possible techniques (sterile microfiltration, freeze-drying). The starting material is again the liquid raw colostrum. Bestvital® organic colostrum capsules are particularly easy to handle and have a much longer shelf life.
And here too, we do not use any preservatives.
Colostrum is already formed during pregnancy and collected in the mammary glands. Within the first 12 hours after birth, more than 80% of the important colostrum ingredients have been transferred.
In the following hours and days, colostrum continues to be produced by the mother’s body, but only to a lesser extent. Finally, after 72 hours, the colostrum turns into the familiar milk.
That is why we only use the colostrum of the first and second surplus milking within the very first hours for our Bestvital® (organic) products.
