Colostrum liquid or colostrum capsules – which is better?

Colostrum liquid or colostrum capsules? What are the differences? And what is the best way to use which product? If you are interested in this topic, just read on! Because in our blog posts we explain everything you need to know about colostrum.

What is colostrum?

Colostrum is also known as colostrum, first milk or beestings and is the first milk of every mammal.

However, it is fundamentally different from “normal” milk because colostrum has a uniquely high concentration of vital ingredients. This is because colostrum must provide the newborn with all the nutrients it needs to ensure a healthy and safe start in life.

This is particularly important in cows because, unlike humans, calves are born without their own immune system. Therefore, colostrum basically fulfills the task of building up this relevant protective system of the calf. The first milk contains not only proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, but also a large number of bioactive substances such as immunoglobulins (antibodies). The growth factors it contains have a positive effect on inflammatory processes and the repair of damaged tissue in newborn babies, e.g. after injuries.

Colostrum. Simply unique.

The extraordinary combination of over 400 interactive substances found in the colostrum ingredients is also 99% identical to human colostrum – this guarantees almost optimal bioavailability of the first milk. It is therefore “naturally” perfectly tailored to our organism* and this complex cocktail cannot even be reproduced in the laboratory to this day.

Colostrum liquid or capsules – which is better?

There are a number of key arguments in favor of taking liquid colostrum. After all, this is the original product and many people prefer colostrum in as natural a form as possible. They therefore opt for the liquid version, as this is less processed and offers the highest concentration of ingredients. In addition, liquids are also absorbed and assimilated more quickly by the body.

However, there are also many arguments in favor of consuming colostrum capsules. The advantage of capsules is that they are much more practical and easier to handle in terms of intake and storage. They are also usually a little cheaper to buy than the liquid version. However, the use of both products is identical.

Ultimately, everyone should decide for themselves which product characteristics are more important to them. And which form of first milk is better suited to their personal situation.

What does the liquid colostrum product have in common with the capsules?

While the liquid colostrum is processed sterilely in a special cold filtration process without any heat, our colostrum powder is also processed using the gentlest techniques, such as germ-free microfiltration and elaborate freeze-drying.

But no matter which product you choose – our colostrum raw material is obtained exclusively from controlled organic animal husbandry in Germany and Austria. So regardless of whether you prefer our liquid or capsule version – you will always receive the highest possible organic quality. And of course without preservatives.

What effect do the ingredients in colostrum have?

Cow colostrum contains extremely valuable ingredients. Immunoglobulins, for example, provide outstanding protection for newborns against viral, bacterial and mycotic infections.

Cytokines are known to fulfill the role of immune messengers. They are used for communication within the immune system and ensure that the appropriate immune cells are activated in the event of an infection – they stimulate the lymph glands and have highly effective antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties in newborn calves. Lactoferrin, on the other hand, transports iron to the red blood cells and prevents bacteria and viruses from accessing the body’s own iron. However, as these need a host cell in order to multiply, reproduction is effectively prevented*.
